Ink Publishing grew with the announcement that the UK company has been selected to publish the award-winning, low cost airline bmibaby’s inflight magazine, yeahbaby.
The contract with bmibaby, the UK’s second biggest low cost airline, reinforces its position as the publisher of choice for British-based carriers.
yeahbaby magazine will reach more than four million affluent readers throughout 2006 and will increase in size to 100 pages, packed with high quality lifestyle features to appeal to the airline’s broad and diverse audience.
The magazine will provide unique, quirky and insightful information for passengers flying into and out of the airline’s five UK bases at Birmingham, Cardiff, Durham Tees Valley, Manchester and Nottingham East Midlands. bmibaby operates over 850 flights every week to over 20 European destinations. Topical features will cover local culture, personalities, shopping and resorts.

The magazine will be edited by Ginny Cummings, who previously edited Holidays for Couples, a glossy 200+ page travel magazine distributed in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia, and Queensland Brides, a leading quarterly Australian bridal magazine. Ginny has extensive editing and feature writing experience.
A new online version of the magazine, www.bmibabymagazine.com, will be linked from www.bmibaby.com, where over 90 per cent of passengers book their flights.
bmibaby’s fleet of 19 Boeing 737 aircraft will fly 4.5 million passengers over 850 flights a week this year, with seven new routes due to be introduced in the summer. The carrier has been voted ‘Best No Frills Airline’ the prestigious Telegraph Travel Awards for three consecutive years.
