Emirates Holidays launches TradeNet

Emirates Holidays has launched its enhanced version of TradeNet an all-in-one online quotation and booking engine system in Saudi Arabia

This system will go on a Kingdom-wide roadshow of seminars and presentations to top travel agents.

TradeNet 2.0 uses a new user interface incorporating feedback collected from users in the Middle East and Asia over the past 18 months, and has an updated online booking function giving agents flexibility to book, amend, manage and control their bookings.

The Saudi Arabian roadshow in Riyadh, Dharhan and Jeddah involved senior managers of Dubai-based Emirates Holidays and 60 of the Kingdom’s top travel agents.

The agents were able to gain hands-on experience of TradeNet and its capability to provide speedy quotations, convenient flight and hotel reservations, tailor-made holidays, package quotations, bookings, amendments and direct communications with Emirates Holidays.

Initially launched in April 2004 to just 20 travel agents in the UAE, TradeNet is now used by more 4,000 agents in over 35 countries throughout the Gulf, Middle East and Asia, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Saudi Arabia is the first GCC country to receive the enhanced TradeNet 2.0, which will now be rolled out to the remaining GCC countries.

TradeNet has proved popular with travel agents who appreciate its easy-to-use online facilities which avoid telephone bottlenecks and provide fast, accurate data on availability and price updates on specific Emirates Holidays services.

The system makes it easy for travel agents to provide their clients with all-inclusive holiday solutions. Tailor-made arrangements are the hallmark of Emirates Holidays, allowing agents greater flexibility to satisfy their clients.

TradeNet is also being developed to print service vouchers, allowing agents to complete the end-to-end transaction of quotation, payment, booking and documentation online.
