Excel Airways expands routes

Excel Airwaysis flying all year-round from Nottingham East Midlands Airport (NEMA), with the introduction of four routes throughout winter 2007. 

Excel Airways will fly 18 summer routes in 2006 from Nottingham East Midlands Airport include the Canary Islands of Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Tenerife, the Costa Blanca on mainland Spain and Majorca. You can also fly to Faro in the Algarve; the islands of Rhodes, Corfu, Zante, Kalamata, Skiathos, Kos and Cyprus, Turkey or Egypt.

In winter 2006/07 passengers will also be able to fly direct to the Canaries from NEMA including Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, as well as to Sharm el Sheikh on Egypt’s Red Sea Coast. Excel Airways will use its online sister company, XL.com, for customers to book flights, hotels and car hire from NEMA.

NEMA General Manager Sales and Marketing, Caroline Plant said, “We have sixteen brand new destinations from the Airport this summer. We are adding new routes and facilities all the time.
