Aussie Accor gets new GMs

13th Feb 2006

Accor hotels in Melbourne, Launceston and the Barossa Valley will welcome new General Managers as part of a series of internal appointments.
Llewellyn Wyeth has relocated to Victoria to take up the position of General Manager, Mercure Hotel Melbourne.  In addition, Llewellyn has been promoted to Area Manager and in this capacity will oversee Hotel Ibis Melbourne, Mercure Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide and Novotel Barossa Valley Resort.  Llewellyn was previously General Manager at Novotel Barossa Valley Resort.  He has been with Accor for almost ten years and during his time has held senior operational roles at Novotel Twin Waters Resort and Novotel St. Kilda.
Llewellyn replaces former Mercure Hotel Melbourne General Manager,  Dianne Morgan who has been appointed as General Manager, Mercure Hotel Earlington Launceston.  The Earlington joined the Accor group in January and accompanies the Mercure Hotel Hobart in Accor’s expanding Tasmanian network.  Dianne joined Accor in 1997 at the Sofitel Melbourne before taking up the position of Executive Assistant Manager at Novotel St Kilda.
In turn, Scott Boyes has been promoted to General Manager, Novotel Barossa Valley Resort. After joining Accor in 1996, Scott has held senior operational roles with Accor hotels in New Zealand, Japan and Australia and most recently held the role of Executive Assistant Manager at Accor’s Sydney Olympic Park Hotels.
The appointment reshuffle reflects Accor’s policy of training and promoting internally where the opportunity arises.
