Lord Mayor opens Landmark Hotel

The 264-bedroom Jurys Inn Nottingham, the largest hotel in the East Midlands, was officially opened on Tuesday (29 November) by the Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Cllr Mohammed Munir.
The Lord Mayor performed the ribbon cutting ceremony with the chairman of Jurys Doyle Hotel Group Mrs Bernadette Gallagher, chief executive Pat McCann and general manager John Murphy.

“This development is a major boost for the city,” said Councillor Munir at the ceremony attended by local dignitaries and representatives of business communities from across the region.

The modern budget-plus hotel has been designed with both the business and lleisure tourist in mind and is the focal point of a mixed-use development, which has been taking shape in the heart of Nottingham.

The location is perfect - close to the Central Train Station and within a short stroll from the city centre.

McCann said at the opening: “Nottingham is a vibrant and busy city, which enjoys an excellent corporate, leisure and tourism opportunity. We are proud to be part of this city and the opening of Jurys Inn Nottingham represents a significant advancement in the expansion of our operations around the UK”.
