Iceland Express expand with airport

Iceland Express has announced substantial route and fleet expansion for
2006 and Keflavik airport is reported to be doubling the size of the
Leifur Eir’ksson Air Terminal by the year 2007.Marketing Director of Iceland Express, Arnar flór Haffiórsson,
said ” During 2006, we are starting new routes from Iceland to
Berlin, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Friedrichshaven and Alicante, as well
as continuing to operate London (Stansted), Copenhagen and Frankfurt
Hahn - plus we are increasing the size of our fleet with the arrival
of three MD 90 aircraft from Hello of Switzerland. It’s great to see
an airport recognise that our inbound tourism can only continue to
grow at its current rate if the infrastructure supports that growth.
Through our Low Fares policy we have expanded the market to Iceland
and made it accessible for both cost conscious travellers and
families* - its very important that their first impression of
Iceland is a good one!”
