Female Friendly Hotel Opens on South Beach

In the era of The Ritz Carlton,
Four Seasons and Morgan’s Hotels, the new Sanctuary Hotel in South Beach
is a creative superluxe hotel minus the corporate flag. Sanctuary Hotel is also South Beach’s first “female-friendly” hotel, with
an ongoing 25-percent discount for single women guests, and special
amenities for them like, cabana boys at the rooftop pool to apply suntan
lotion; beach jogging and yoga companions; a chic in-house salon and spa
for beauty and pampering; and personal shoppers,

“We wanted to create a special hotel for women business travelers by
offering more amenities geared to their needs. And females tell all their
friends, males don’t,” says Sanctuary’s 24-year-old owner Keith Menin.

Sanctuary offers a rich physical and spiritual experience within an
intimate setting of just 29 suites, while also featuring the full
amenities of a resort. A stunning rooftop infinity pool made entirely of
river rocks awaits guests, who can sunbathe by day and sip cocktails in
the evening.

Each suite at Sanctuary embraces modern luxury. Bianca Calacatta
marble-countertop kitchens feature glass-fronted beverage centers,
microwave ovens and deluxe espresso makers. A 42-inch, flat-screen plasma
TV, custom-designed seating and CD stereo complete the living room.
Bathrooms are mini-retreats, with Lapis Lazuli blue terrazzo tile and Rain
Head showers.

Some rooms are equipped with steam showers, others with soaking tubs or
jetted Jacuzzi tubs. All suites feature imported, porcelain tile floors,
queen-size beds with Egyptian cotton sheets and a large custom wardrobe
with laptop safe. Mini-bars are stocked with healthy, organic treats from
“Whole Foods Market” like yogurt-covered raisins and cranberries,
chocolate-covered figs, spritzers, and green teas.
