To keep up with the increasing demand for international travel to Australia and beyond during the popular summer travel season, Qantas has announced that it will provide additional non-stop flights between Los Angeles and Sydney. Extra flights will be offered on select dates beginning in June, adding more than 5,000 seats to the existing schedule on this preferred South Pacific route. A global carrier, Qantas offers convenient connections from its Sydney hub to more than 50 domestic cities in Australia, as well as to Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia; Mumbai, India; and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Qantas currently operates 17 weekly non-stop flights between Los Angeles and Sydney, the most service offered by any airline. The extra summer flights operate on select days and provide travelers even greater frequency and more choice between these two world-class cities. Leisure travelers on these flights are also eligible for travel on the Qantas Aussie AirPass, which offers passengers exceptional added value with the opportunity to visit up to three destinations in Australia.

“With increasing demand by discriminating passengers for the Qantas flight experience, we are pleased to offer additional non-stop flights to Sydney, and also to exciting onward destinations including Indonesia, India and South Africa,” said Howard Goldberg, Qantas Airways vice president marketing and leisure sales, The Americas. “With the increased schedule, now travelers from the U.S. bound for Bali or Jakarta, Mumbai or Johannesburg, can more easily take advantage of a free Australian airfare stopover and experience two countries for the price of one,” he added.

Qantas international flights from the U.S. feature complimentary bar, meals and individual seat-back entertainment options that provide passengers with a new level of inflight service. On select international business class service to Sydney, Qantas is the only airline on the route to offer the newly introduced award-winning Skybed for the ultimate in traveling comfort.
