Bolongo Beach Recognised as One of “Best Mid-Size Hotels” in Caribbean

Bolongo Bay Beach Club in St. Thomas has been voted one of the “Best Mid-Size Hotels” in Caribbean Travel & Life’s “2005 Best of the Caribbean Readers’ Choice Awards.”Ê Winners are featured in the May 2005 issue of the magazine.“Being recommended as one of the ‘Best Mid-Size Hotels’ by the readers of Caribbean Travel & Life is great,” said Richard J. Doumeng, owner and general manager of Bolongo.Ê “Receiving a ‘Readers’ Choice’ award indicates how positively our customers feel about the very unique Bolongo vacation experience.

Caribbean Travel & Life salutes its reader’s favorites every year in its annual “Best of the Caribbean” special issue. The definitive survey, based on responses from thousands of Caribbean enthusiasts, highlights top picks in more than 30 categories, from beaches, bars and beer to cuisine, resorts and shopping.

There are 14 hotel-specific categories that are voted on by Caribbean Travel & Life’s readers to determine the winners of the “2005 Best of the Caribbean Readers’ Choice Awards.”

Once the ballots are tabulated, the magazine names the top four recipients as the “Best” in each category.ÊBolongo was named as one of the “Best Mid-Size Hotels” along with Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba, Royal Plantation in Jamaica and Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.
