Up, Up and Away, for Serena Hotels

More uplifting news for Serena Safari Lodges, Hotels and Resorts and the East
African travel industry at the start of 2005. Not one but two of the world’s leading travel ‘glossies’ have placed a glittering
selection of Serena Hotels at the top of their 2005 line-up of the world’s finest
travel destinations.  Firstly, from North American media giant Conde Nast, comes a listing in their
industry-leading TRAVELER magazine that places a magnificent seven of Serena’s
hotels in its prestigious 2005 GOLD LIST of The World’s 700 Best Places to Stay
(Amboseli Serena, Mara Serena, Samburu Serena, Lake Manyara Serena, Ngorongoro
Serena, Serengeti Serena and the Zanzibar Serena).

And as if that didn’t take Serena straight up into the stratosphere of global and
African leisure destinations, the highly influential Travel and Leisure Magazine
have just announced their top 500 venues for 2005, and placed Mara Serena Safari
Lodge and Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge among the top ten choices in East Africa
and the top 500 choices in the world.

The Travel and Leisure magazine T+L 500 is composed of the 500 hotels that received
the highest overall ratings from Travel and Leisure Magazine readers in the 2004
World’s Best Awards survey. Hotels are rated according to five categories:
rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food and value for money; and
according to the magazine’s editor the T+L 500 is the ‘ultimate hotel guide’.

to receive recognition yet again from Travel and Leisure magazine’s readers, and
even more delighted to note that African destinations as a whole are the highest
scoring of all the world destinations; we’re poised for an exceptionally dynamic
2005’.
