Ben Kilbey in LondonSt. Lucia is set to get a family feel with the introduction of the US$20 million Coconut Bay Resort and Spa. Located on the southern end of the island the resort is ideally located for world class wind surfing and will have a strong family slant - although it will cater to everyone, stresses GM, Butch Hendrickson; “this is not only a family resort - it is the perfect mix for everyone. We will welcome couples, families - everyone.“The resort will incorporate a 750ft lazy river and a 40ft mountain fitted with waterslides. “This will keep the kids happy, mum happy and dad really happy” quipped Hendrickson.

For the older children there will be pool tables and video games. “The resort really will cater for everyone” commented Sales Manager Bridgette Charles.

Coconut Bay will run on an all-inclusive basis. There will be a spa and gourmet restaurant which will come at an additional cost. For divers there will excursions to nearby dive sites - also at additional cost.

Coconut Bay Resort will open Feb. 20 2005 and is in close proximity to the airport.
