Chukka changes name

Chukka Caribbean Adventures is the new trading name for what is now Jamaica’s leader in soft adventure tours. The result of a recent corporate restructuring of two adventure tour pioneers and partners, Chukka Cove and Chukka Blue Adventures, the new name was recently launched on September 4th, 2004 at the Company’s corporate office in Montego Bay.  Led by principals, Marc Melville and John Byles, the move comes as part of the duo’s drive since their partnership in 2000 to expand their line of tours.

Their efforts have resulted in over 17 tours in Jamaica and 4 overseas to date. Earlier this year, Melville and Byles set their sights outside of Jamaica and headed for Belize, where they teamed up with a local operator to form Bak-A-Bush Adventures.

Their move into the Caribbean heralded a wider vision for the partners, and the decision was made to change the Company’s branding. The new Chukka Caribbean Adventures is now the trading name for the team’s group of adventure tour companies, which will soon include operations in the Bahamas.
