Minneapolis, MN-based CSM Corporation, a
diversified real estate development company, announced today the addition
of the Hawthorn Suites in Chicago/Lincolnshire, IL to its national hotel
portfolio. This is the third hotel acquired by CSM this year.
The Hawthorn Suites, located at the intersection of Interstate I-94 and
Route 22 (Half Day Road), is conveniently situated near several major
attractions and businesses in the Chicago/Lincolnshire area. This
all-suite property features 125 guest suites with one or two bedrooms,
full-size kitchens, indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness center and four
meeting rooms able to accommodate up to 50 people.

“We are very excited about entering the Chicago market, especially the
growing community of Lincolnshire,” said Robin Kirk, President of CSM
Lodging. “The addition of the Hawthorn brand to the CSM family complements
our current portfolio by adding another extended-stay product to our base
of Residence Inns and TownePlace Suites by Marriott.”

CSM Lodging plans an extensive renovation of the entire property over the
next few months. “Our aim is to meet the increasing needs of the current
business traveler and the new generation of leisure travelers,” Kirk
added. “This includes updating the look and feel of the hotel public
space, building exterior, pool area, and suites, as well as providing our
guests with the latest in technology with high-speed Internet access in
the suites, wireless access in the lobby and a state-of-the-art business
center.”

Hawthorn Suites are designed with the extended-stay traveler in mind and
feature in-room amenities such as full-size kitchens and kitchenettes,
oversize work stations, complimentary high-speed Internet access, two-line
telephones with data ports and voicemail, expanded cable television with
pay-per-view, HBO, CNN and ESPN, complimentary hot breakfast buffet daily
and a Manager’s Reception on Monday—Thursday evenings. Guests who stay
at the Hawthorn Suites can earn free nights at Hawthorn Suites and Hyatt
Hotels and Resorts, or miles on several airline partners.
