Belle-Gravia Beauties Abound

1st Sep 2004

The Sheraton Belgravia has launched Belle-gravia, an exclusive pampering package developed for female guests - or anyone else who would like to indulge themselves with some ‘me time’.
Working in partnership with Origins, the leaders in multi-sensory
beauty and wellness products, The Sheraton Belgravia has put together a luxurious selection of Belle-gravia treats - chosen following research into what female guests wanted when they stay at a hotel.  Guests opting for the Belle-gravia package will receive:
      ◦      a unique Origins pampering pack

      ◦      fresh flowers in the room

      ◦      Quintessentially and other glossy magazine titles

      ◦      Choice of naughty or nice breakfast smoothies

      ◦      an in-room massage

      ◦      complimentary movie

      ◦      a bowl of sweeties for a little bit of indulgence

p>In addition, following partnerships with several local Belgravia
boutiques, guests will receive offers from Belinda Robertson Cashmere
and Agent Provocateur.  Belle-gravia Beauties can also get 20% off
hair treatments at Neville Hair & Beauty of Pont Street, where the
likes of Elizabeth Hurley, Claudia Schiffer, Zoe Lucker and Nigella
Lawson go for a quick trim or a luxury manicure.

The Origins pampering kit consists of treats such as A Perfect
World(tm) face guardian (3ml), eye cream (3ml) and liquid moisture
(7ml), as well as No puffery(tm) eye cooling mask (3ml), Clear
Improvement® Active charcoal mask to clear pores, Drink Up® 10 minute mask to quench skin’s thirst and Calm to your senses(tm) body soufflĂ©.

The pack comes complete with a usage guide and the chance for a
complimentary consultation at the Origins counter in Harrods.  Having
looked at several beauty companies as potential partners, Sheraton
Belgravia was keen to work with Origins, as the brand was felt to be
the most appealing to the hotel’s guests.

Kate Piesse, PR Manager at Origins said, “This is this first time that
Origins has partnered with a hotel for an initiative of this kind.  We
are very excited to have been approached by the Sheraton group and feel that it is a very exciting project for us to be involved in - and a
great way of exposing more people to our innovative products.

Whether the guests are on business and want to spend a quiet evening in the
hotel pampering themselves and watching a movie, or staying with their
mothers, girlfriends or daughters and relaxing after a day hitting the
shops, this package gives them that little bit of luxury.”

Nestled in a tranquil corner of London, yet within minutes of
Knightsbridge and Sloane Street shopping temptations, the Belgravia
hotel is very popular with women travellers.

Michael Shannon, Hotel Manager, Sheraton Belgravia said, “We started
looking at introducing an added value offering for our female guests
last year.  Our research told us what women would like to see more of
and what annoyed them about staying in hotels.  One big factor was the
demand for pampering treats - the chance for a few stolen minutes of
‘me time’ when staying away from home.  From this we started looking
at beauty brands to work with.  From the outset Origins were our top
choice, as they are the perfect brand to appeal to our guests and
compliment our own brand ethos very well.  From all this Belle-gravia
was born.”

From a poll conducted by the Sheraton Belgravia among 100 female
clients, colleagues, family and friends, the top pet hates of these
discerning hotel guests were:
      ◦      Cotton wool balls - instead of the more user friendly cotton wool pads

      ◦      Dressing gowns made for a 6ft tall man

      ◦      Bad bathroom lighting making it difficult to apply and remove make up

      ◦      Hairdryers with no power that get too hot

      ◦      Magazine selection consisting of golfing, fishing or business titles
Most of those polled wanted to see more of the elements that now make up the Belle-gravia package - beauty treats, massages, glossy
magazines, healthy breakfast options and offers from local boutiques
and hair salons.

The Belle-gravia package, including the elements listed above, as well
as Continental buffet breakfasts, starts from £299 per night plus tax,
based on two people sharing.  Single occupancy Belle-gravia bookings
start from £219 per night plus tax.
