Crestline Hotels &
Resorts, Inc. today announced the appointment of Eddie Vergara as General
Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn Dallas Market Center. Mr. Vergara has
been with Crestline Hotels & Resorts since 2002, previously as General
Manager of The Hilton Garden Inn, Independence, MO. “Eddie is a dedicated general manager with exceptional skills in
delivering revenue to the bottom line while understanding quality
assurance, guest satisfaction, and employee retention,” said Dave Durbin,
President and CEO of Crestline Hotels & Resorts. “We look forward to
working with Eddie as he builds an excellent reputation for the beautiful
new Hilton Garden Inn Dallas Market Center,” added Durbin.
Mr. Vergara has more than 15 years of hospitality experience, and is a
graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Hospitality Management. He began his career as a rooms manager
at the Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables, FL, and moved on to be director of
operations for the Bonaventure Resort & Spa in Ft. Lauderdale. He also
held management positions at The Adams Mark Hotel in Mobile and the
Marriott Grand Hotel Resort and Golf Club in Point Clear, AL, before
joining Crestline. In February 2004, The Hilton Garden Inn, Independence
was recognized at the Hilton Garden Inn National Meeting as “The Most
Improved Property” while under the leadership of Mr. Vergara. Mr. Vergara
has served on the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Hotel & Lodging
Association and the Board of Directors, City of Independence Tourism

Crestline also announced the appointment of David Bartek as General
Manager for the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place, GA. Mr. Bartek is a 20
year hospitality veteran who has a proven track record in hotel
management, sales growth and guest satisfaction.
“We are pleased that Mr. Bartek has decided to rejoin Crestline,” said
Dave Durbin, President and CEO of Crestline Hotels & Resorts. “During his
five year tenure with the Company he made extraordinary contributions to
our management team in both Salt Lake City at the Wyndham, and at the
Marriott Bay Point Resort in Florida. We enthusiastically welcome him
back,” added Durbin.
Mr. Bartek holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Point Park
College in Pittsburgh, PA and an Associates Degree in Specialized
Technology from the Triangle Institute of Technology, also in Pittsburgh.
He began his hospitality career in 1984 with Interstate Hotels Corporation
in engineering. In 1997 he joined the Davidson Hotel Company where he
became a General Manager for the Nashville Crowne Plaza, followed by the
Kansas City Airport Hilton and the Tampa Airport Hilton. In 1999 he joined
Crestline Hotels and Resorts as the General Manager of the Marriott Bay
Point Resort, Florida and then the Wyndham Hotel Salt Lake City. Prior to
rejoining Crestline, Mr. Bartek was with Merritt Hospitality as General
Manager of the Atlanta Marriott Northwest. Mr. Bartek is an active civic
leader having been a past board member of the Panama City Beach, FL
Chamber of Commerce, and was the Chairman of the Transportation Committee
