United Statement Regarding Strike Announcement

The Transport and General
Workers Union, representing some ground employee groups at London Heathrow
Airport, has informed United of the intention of its members to take part
in a 24-hour strike at London Heathrow, commencing August 27 at 4:30 am
local time.
United believes that it has made a fair pay and conditions offer to its
employees and, as such, is disappointed with this decision. Nonetheless,
we still intend to meet with the union committee to get their feedback on
what issues remain, and we believe they can be resolved through
negotiations.

If that doesn’t occur, United has put a contingency plan into place, and
we fully expect to maintain our full flight schedule at London Heathrow
through the period of this 24-hour strike and beyond.

Customers can continue to book on United with confidence, knowing that
United continues to be committed to providing all our customers with the
service and route network they expect.
