Swiss™tel Nankai Osaka Launches Shopping Butler

The Swiss™tel Nankai Osaka launched a new and unique shopping butler service, Wednesday. The Shopping Butler Service offers shopping assistance to international guests who do not speak Japanese through specially trained concierge staff who help guests with their shopping and to calculate tax refunds. The Shopping Butler first meets the guest to find out where the s/he would like to go, help map out a suitable shopping course and assist with currency exchange. During shopping, the butler will act as a translator in negotiating for discounts. In addition, the shopping butler will pick up the merchandise, offer wrapping services and even send the merchandise overseas. The hotel charges ´5,000 an hour during the shopping period only.
