Travelocity Business Offers Negotiated Fares on Frontier

Travelocity Business(SM) today announced it is the first Internet travel management company to offer all of its customers business travel discounts on Frontier Airlines and a number of international carriers. These discounts are designed specifically for business travelers, including discounts on refundable and non-refundable tickets, without the restrictions of leisure discounts, such as Web fares.

In addition to Frontier, Travelocity Business has negotiated business programs with international air carriers for its customers that travel outside of the United States, including AeroMexico, Japan Airlines and Qantas. Earlier this month, Travelocity Business also announced it has added discounted corporate rates from Best Western to its portfolio of hotel agreements. The announcements are part of an initiative to provide discounted rates to businesses, without the restrictions often associated with leisure specials.

“Business travelers are often willing to take advantage of special deals, like Web fares, but they don’t always have the flexibility to use these more restrictive options. Through arrangements like this with Frontier, we are offering discounts to companies and their travelers, but with all the flexibility business travelers need to make their trips most productive,” said Ellen Keszler, president of Travelocity Business. “For our larger clients, these complement their own negotiated fares. Small and mid-size businesses are telling us they would just prefer we negotiate rates for them, rather than managing this complex task themselves.”

Sean Menke, senior vice president of marketing for Frontier Airlines said, “Frontier is focused on providing the right mix of price and flexibility to both leisure and business travelers. Travelocity has always been an excellent partner, and now working with Travelocity Business, we are able to enhance our reach into the business travel market, offering even more flexibility to complement the wide range of value-added programs we currently offer the business traveler.”
