Isla Cozumel set to storm the USA

[image1_right]Beginning May 2004, Isla Cozumel will be touring 10 major U.S. cities to present the island’s “Come to Know Cozumel” seminars to travel agents across the country. The seminars will further educate travel agents about Cozumel, showcase why tourism to the island continues to grow, and provide the necessary tools and information agents need to sell the destination.
Each workshop will include a 90-minute presentation about Cozumel and cover topics such as the island’s popularity as a dive, family and golf destination, ability to offer a wide range of accommodations, and setting as a perfect wedding and honeymoon venue.  Participating travel agents will receive a comprehensive Isla Cozumel sales kit consisting of a sales manual and brochures about the hotels and attractions throughout the destination.

Admission to the seminars is free and is open to travel agents only.  Depending on the city, workshops will be offered either during the morning from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with full American breakfast or in the evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a dinner.

“We place great value in the relationships we have with our travel agents and are proud to offer them the ‘Come to Know Cozumel’ seminars,” said Gaston Cantarell Diaz, president of the Isla Cozumel Hotel Association and private sector representative for the tourism foundation.  “The seminars serve as valuable updates on our destination and give agents the opportunity to learn more about what Cozumel has to offer their clients.”
