Cayman changes regional sales names

The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism announced that the names of its US Sales Regions have been changed to better reflect the region represented.  This change will allow for greater clarity when reporting monthly arrival statistics as it better describes the geographical source of the arrival. However, as the geographic area covered by each region is not changing, statistical comparisons of Miami Arrivals ‘03 - Southeast Arrivals ‘04 will be sound.

In the past, US Sales Regions were named after the city in which their office was located, e.g. Miami, New York, Chicago. This however, can be confusing as the sales region previously known as Miami actually encompassed seven of the US’s southern states.

New names for the US Sales Regions are as follows:

EXISTING REGIONAL NAME:
Miami

New York

Chicago

Houston

Los Angeles

NEW REGIONAL NAME:
Southeast Sales Region

Northeast Sales Region

Midwest Sales Region

Southwest Sales Region

West Coast Sales Region
