Residence Inn Manhattan Beach Undergoing $3.5 Million Renovation

Sunstone Hotels announced today that the Residence Inn Manhattan Beach is
nearing completion of a $3.5 Million renovation of their 176-suite hotel
located at 1700 North Sepulveda Boulevard, Manhattan Beach, CA. The
project, to be completed by May 2004, includes updating the hotel’s
guestrooms, meeting space and public areas. “We want to provide our guests
with a fresh contemporary look and up-to-date meeting facilities,” said
Kathryn Mace, Director of Sales for the property. “Our hotel will not only
provide complimentary high-speed Internet access in meeting rooms, but in
all guest rooms as well,” Ms. Mace said.
The hotel will also be furnishing executive-style Penthouse Suites. These
split-level, two-bedroom suites allow guests to define their own space.
There is a loft bedroom with private bath, and on the ground floor a full
kitchen, a living room with fireplace, and a second bedroom with private
bath. “We know that sleeping away from home can be difficult, so we want
to provide our guests with the most comfortable accommodations possible,”
said General Manager, Jonathan Stein.

Located 10 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport, the hotel
provides convenient access to a variety of nearby attractions, including
Manhattan Village Mall, Manhattan Pier and public beaches. Downtown Los
Angeles is fifteen miles northeast of the hotel. All accommodations have a
fully equipped kitchen including coffee maker, cooking and eating
utensils, dishes and glassware, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator
with icemaker. A complimentary hot breakfast buffet is served daily
featuring breads and pastries, cereals and hot oatmeal, eggs, fruits and
juices, hot and cold beverages, waffles and yogurt. For additional
