The media is invited to attend a grand opening ceremony for a new Quality Suites hotel on Wednesday, March 4 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 216 North 48th Street. The event will feature a ribbon cutting, tours of the hotel, door prizes, food and beverages. Local civic leaders and business members are expected to attend.
The hotel, formerly a Hawthorn Suites, is owned and operated by the Summit Group of Sioux Falls, S.D.

Guestrooms at the Quality Suites hotel feature king- or queen-size beds, microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, remote-controlled cable television, high-speed Internet access, voicemail, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Some rooms also feature a sofabed and whirlpool tub. Handicapped and non-smoking rooms are available.

The Quality Suites hotel features a meeting room that can accommodate up to 35 individuals, an indoor pool and hot tub, an exercise facility equipped with treadmills and a stationary bike and a seated breakfast area.

Rates begin at $74. Children, ages 18 and under, stay for free when accompanied by an adult.

The Quality Suites hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Nearby attractions include the state Capital, University of Nebraska, Bob Devany Stadium and the Children’s Zoo.
