VisitHotels.com Launches after Intensive Development

VisitHotels.com

launched after an intensive three months of development. The company mission was set and achieved, to create a site that was informative, rate competitive, and user-friendly, both for the customer and the hotelier to administer. Initially the site is heavily promoting London & Dublin, however VisitHotels aims to cover the entire UK & Ireland by the close of 2004.

The site was born out of the desire to create a portal that was less complicated and clearer than the existing products. It was felt by the creators that the hotel portal sites were unnecessarily complex and over-crowded with trivial information, pop-ups, depthless offers, high cancellation fees, and various other pitfalls. Consumers have always demanded clarity and VisitHotels aims to deliver simplicity in hotel-booking.

VisitHotels USP centres on its personnel whom have all heralded from hotel backgrounds. With the knowledge, understanding, and background of the hotel environment, the VisitHotels team are aware of exactly how a customer should feel and be treated when making a reservation. The hotel-background experience also harnesses the acquisition of securing special offer rates from partner hotels on behalf of the VisitHotels customers, due to the VisitHotels personnel all sharing deep links with the various hotels. VisitHotels teamed with Sumukan-Exceed, a long established IT solutions partnership whom have built systems for large financial institutions, as well as many hospitality products & sites.

One of the site’s USP’s is the London Guide which aims to inform the customer about London, intending to aid their choice of area more carefully, thus the customer is more suited to their hotel area than they would be simply booking blind as in the instance of less informative sites.

Customers also receive the added benefit of being able to make reservations freely, without prior payment, thus being able to amend their booking, or even cancel, without fear of being charged (subject to cancellation policies which are usually only one day prior to arrival). The site creators feel that it is this flexibility in the ever-changing fast-paced internet world that is essential for customer’s peace of mind and booking ease.

Naturally the launch of VisitHotels.com is also good news for the hotelier. The hoteliers receive their own login extranet space to amend rates/availability & hotel descriptions, plus of course they have a new channel of business! In the first week of going live VisitHotels has produced hundreds of bookings for their London hotel partners. A site worth watching!
