BWIA announces twice weekly service to Santo Domingo

BWIA West Indies Airway announced today the introduction of a new twice-weekly service to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.Commencing today with an inaugural service, the flight will operate from the airline’s hub in Port of Spain, serviced a by Boeing 737-800 aircraft. From the 24th January 2004 the flights are on Tuesdays and Saturdays, departing at 10.30 and arriving in Santo Domingo 12.30, with return flights departing at 13.50 arriving in Port of Spain at 15.30. Connections from the UK are provided through BWIA’s London to Port of Spain flights.
Director of Sales & Marketing UK/Europe, Peter Iland, commented: “The service has been introduced following increased trading links between the English-speaking Caribbean and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean, and will provide a vital link between two of the region’s commercial centres”.
