One Northeast Launches Market Research Study

25th Sep 2003

One NorthEast and the Ports of Tees and Tyne have commissioned research into the market and image potential for pleasure cruisers, big and small, mapping out the economic impact of increased trade and how best to maximise the potential when the boats do come in. The study also aims to assess whether the region’s ports and the tourism offer in the North East needs additional support in order to give visitors a truly unique experience from the moment they disembark, including the attractions that lay within an hour’s journey of the sea.

One NorthEast is spearheading the research and working with VisitBritain
, the UK’s national tourist body, and the region’s ports to provide a practical document that will shape the future for cruising in the North East.
