VisualFrenzy Media Inc. today announced that it is changing its name to VFM Interactive Inc., effective September 22, 2003.
“We are changing the company’s name to emphasize that VFM Interactive has evolved to become more than just a media production company,” said President and CEO, Hugh Agro. “From roots in Internet video production and streaming, over the past two years, VFM Interactive has successfully developed and commercialized core strengths in interactive content management and distribution,” he added. “The change in our name reflects our increasingly important role as an off-platform provider of technology driven solutions, connectivity and interactivity to both client hotels and the online travel distribution industry in general.”
VFM Interactive now provides content distribution services for more than 600 individual hotels and resorts. The company has also established the largest interactive content distribution network encompassing more than 5,000 hotel and travel discovery, research, booking, agent and tour operator websites.
Earlier this year, the company announced that it had launched a new technology platform, the ‘VFM Interactive Content Exchange ASP’. The new platform accommodates a broad range of interactive content and functionality including visual images, sound bites, permission email, ad insertion, booking site links, geo-referenced content selection, viewer and bandwidth selectivity and freeform descriptive text. The platform advances VFM Interactive’s mission to be the most trusted and most widely used provider of interactive content solutions connecting lodging and travel suppliers and distributors to their customers.
