Operator Ocean Club Holidays is to go live with TravelOptions’ cost-effective operator system in October, overhauling the company’s booking and information capabilities and creating real-time links between its UK and Lanzarote offices.
The TravelOptions system will make all reservations and availability information instantly accessible for the first time to Ocean Club Holiday employees in the UK and Lanzarote.

Data will be searchable in real-time by both offices, making it more efficient to view bookings details previously supplied in posted, faxed or emailed manifests.

Additionally, TravelOptions has supplied a reservations solution to replace Ocean Club Holidays’ existing manual bookings system. The solution will allow more flexibility when organising reservations and will enable the company to take online bookings in future.

Alex van Leewen, Ocean Club Holidays director said: “We scoured the market for a cost-effective system to replace our existing, outdated technology, and the TravelOptions system exceeded our demands. Our ability to view bookings in real-time will make our operations in the UK and Lanzarote more efficient.

The TravelOptions system’s functionality includes reservations, distribution, administration, sales accountancy and booking analysis, with operators benefiting from continual training and support.

The system is designed to provide a cost effective front- and back-office system for tour operators. It operates on a PC server, removing the need for high-cost, high-maintenance server systems and can operate across any number of individual PCs, at speeds faster than comparable high-cost products.
