England’s Thermae Bath Spa Suffers More Delays

The long-awaited £23million millennium spa project, Thermae Bath Spa, has announced that it still has no official opening date and it is looking increasingly likely that this will now not be until later in the summer.

It must be an extremely frustrating prospect for all involved, especially those who have sought to bring this project to fruition since the late 1980s. The Spa Project Office, the Council Department which is managing the building contract, has yet to make an official statement.

With over one million litres of naturally hot thermal water bubbling to the surface daily in the heart of this World Heritage Site, Bath has enticed visitors and settlers from around the globe for thousands of years to bathe in and drink its waters. Now, after nearly 25 years, the city is still counting down the months to the re-opening of this flagship project for the British spa industry.
