Spa Struck

The big news for the state`s day-spa devotees is that The Spa at Norwich Inn (formerly the Norwich Inn & Spa) has just completed a three-year, $13.5 million, head-to-toe renovation and as part of this renovation has opened its luxury facility up to day-spa clientele seven days a week - hurrah!
As a full-scale overnight facility, this 29,000-square-foot spa offers extras that most day spas are simply not designed for: top-notch men`s and women`s locker rooms with saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools, a state-of-the-art fitness room and classes, new relaxation lounge replete with wicker chaise lounges that you`ll wish to spend your life in, and a nifty Romanesque exercise pool at the center of it all. The spa has, in fact, more than doubled its size and now offers 32 treatment rooms and a tremendous assortment of I`ve-died-and-gone-to-heaven treatments. Of particular note are the hot stone therapy relaxation massage, polarity therapy, patchouli and citrus bath… Wellness workshops are held every Wednesday night, and there`s also morning meditation and evening reflection, and a full-time astrologer has been added to the staff. Oh, and lest we forget, acre upon acre of rolling hills, 49 sumptuous inn rooms, 54 villas, the fabulous Kensington`s restaurant, afternoon tea….
