Champneys Health Resort, one of the worldå‘s leading destination spas and the flagship of the Champneys Group has appointed Robert Grosze Nipper as director of Resort Operations. Based in Hertfordshire, he took up his full-time position in April 2002 and manages a staff team of 260 while reporting directly to Champneys Group Chairman, Michael Winskell.
Grosze Nipper, brings with him invaluable experience in senior management roles within the hotel and leisure industry and expertise in business areas that are pertinent to Champneys ambitions. Responsible for both day to day management and long-term brand building, Grosze Nipper`s appointment aims to ensure that Champneys remains at the forefront of the rapidly growing spa industry. Michael Winskell commented, “We are delighted that Robert has joined the company and signed on to the vision that we have for the future developments of the Champneys Group.”

Grosze Nipper`s most recent role was as General Manager of the Copthorne Hotel Effingham Park, a Country House hotel with extensive leisure facilities and golf club in West Sussex, and he was also Chairman of the Gatwick Hotels Association. Prior to that, he worked with Millennium and Copthorne Hotels in Germany and Spain, and spent 7 years working for Sheraton Hotels in both the UK and overseas. Grosze Nipper comments, “I am looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead and firmly believe that my expertise and experience will enable me to build on and enhance the Champneys philosophy”.

Dutchman Grosze Nipper lives in West Sussex and is married with two daughters.
