New Honeymoon Guide For Couples At Lodging.com

The new honeymoon guide for
couples at Lodging.com is already a “hot” item, but not for the reasons you
might think.
The guide at www.lodging.com/honeymoons.html tells couples how to heat up their honeymoon while cooling down the costs by offering discount
rates at resorts and hotels in the most popular tropical destinations.
From all-inclusive resorts to quaint hotels, the guide lists
accommodations in typical U.S. honeymoon hot spots, such as Hawaii, Key West
and Miami Beach. The guide also lists international destinations, such as
Cancun and Cozumel, Mexico, and Montego Bay, Jamaica. (Rates start at $69 and
are, in most cases, nearly half off rack rates.)
Bride-to-be, Sarah Bellamy and her fiance, Timothy Snelling, of Oregon,
saved more than $500 by booking their September honeymoon through Lodging.com.
“Tim and I wanted to go somewhere warm, but we couldn`t spend a lot of
money because we are buying a house this fall,” says Bellamy. “Lodging.com`s
honeymoon guide gave us several affordable options and we fell in love with a
hotel on Sanibel Island.  The low price amazed us, so we checked the corporate
site and realized how much we were saving.”
Lodging.com Managing Editor Wendy Maxey said that the guide was added after customers requested an easier way to quickly locate the best deals in popular hot spots.
“With the new guide, travelers can compare rates at different resorts and
hot spots, without having to search individually by destination,” says Maxey.
“It is also a great resource for engaged couples in the planning phase, because they can compare rates based upon destination.”
The tropical honeymoon and vacation guide provides instant online booking
capabilities, package information, as well as detailed pictures and
descriptions of the properties. Current Florida destinations include:
Clearwater, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Islamorada, Jacksonville, Key Largo,
Key West, Miami Beach, Naples, Orlando, Palm Beach, Panama City, Sanibel
Island and St. Petersburg.  Other U.S. destinations include: Palm Springs,
Calif., and Volcano, Hawaii.  International destinations include: Antigua, Aruba, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, St. Kitts, Turks and
Caicos Islands and Venezuela.
Plans are in the works at Lodging.com for similar guides geared to the
needs of ski and golf enthusiasts.
“Lodging.com is designed to meet the specific needs of the traveler,” adds
Maxey. “We are constantly upgrading our site with guides that answer the
questions that travelers really want to know and also need to know to feel
comfortable about booking their stay.”
