A computer error on the United Airlines web site on 31st January made it seem like a very late Christmas present for almost 100 people.
For 55 minutes, the site was offering return tickets from the U.S. to Europe for as little as £24.98 (£17.23)!

A ‘computer error’ was blamed, but the airline has decided to honour the booking requests, even though they contend that they had a legal right to cancel those tickets. One person capitalised on the opportunity, buying 17 tickets. United hope that the offer will not be repeated.
