In direct response to customer testing, download time from the home page has been speeded up by 75 per-cent with the removal of heavy scripts and java applet.
Strong sectional headings and a ‘Highlights’ index for special offers and for news have been added to direct internet surfers straight to the information they want with minimum ‘clicks’.
The biggest change comes for the 70,000 UK and US Executive Club members who regularly visit their exclusive web pages.
From today, the moment a member is identified from their Club number and PIN, the new site structure delivers only screens relevant to them. This personalised service includes membership details, news, promotions and an account summary detailing their miles and tier points balance.
The Executive Club area is now even easier to use. This is the result of a radical redesign and restructure to include a distinct navigation panel, clearer signposts and stylish use of photography.
In the US, Executive Club members will soon be able to check availability for flights on which they can redeem their miles. The member will be supplied all the redemption detail on-line to speed up their booking.
