Thomas Cook has teamed up with QXL.com
to launch a co-branded auction website offering holidays for as little as £1.
The site, which goes live this week, gives customers the opportunity to place bids on a range of Thomas Cook flights, city breaks, cruises and package holidays. Participants can also place bids in the ‘live auctions’, which only take a matter of minutes and are regulated by a ‘live’ auctioneer.

QXL.com claims it is the first company in the UK to launch a real-time online auction. The range of holidays vary, and prices depend on the number of bidders participating. In Thursday afternoon’s live auction, for example, a 3-night getaway to Barcelona (including flights) was snatched up for £111.
