Amadeus Gulf demonstrates strong regional growth

Amadeus Gulf today announced the expansion of its operations in Oman and the appointment of its new Country Manager, Taji Pulikal in a strategic move to complement the fast-growing Omani travel and tourism sector.

Responsible for the sectors of Oman, Bahrain and the UAE, Amadeus Gulf has exhibited significant growth in 2011 and continues to expand its customer base through diversifying its presence to meet the growing needs of local markets. As part of this endeavor, Amadeus is set to open doors to a new office in Dubai and relocate its operations to a larger, more modern premise within the heart of Abu Dhabi.

Amadeus Gulf has witnessed over 10 per cent growth in the number of terminals in the region since 2010.

A number of leading travel agents from the region including Omeir Travel, Abu Dhabi Travel Bureau ( ATB ) and Al Jaber in Abu Dhabi, Khimji’s House of Travel, Eihab Travel and Al Hashar Travel in Oman and Al Futtaim Travel in Dubai have recently signed agreements with Amadeus , appointing them as their technology partner of choice to further highlight Amadeus ’ growing presence in the region.

Amadeus Gulf ‘s expansion within the region comes on the back of a changing travel landscape and the need to enhance one-to-one contact and relationship management, personalize solutions and enhance service delivery to clients.
