Aita to head Sabre in western Europe

Aita to head Sabre in western Europe Aita brings more than 15 years in sales leadership experience to the newly created role

Sabre Travel Network, a global technology company serving travel suppliers and agencies, has appointed Stéphane Aita as vice president for western Europe.

He officially starts with Sabre on June 1st 2012.

Aita brings more than 15 years in sales leadership experience to the newly created role, having held senior positions with companies such as Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Alcatel.

Most recently, he was Oracle’s global services director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

He also co-founded Yfone, a start-up telecommunications company providing mobile and VOIP solutions.

Aita will be responsible for continuing and accelerating the growth of Sabre in Benelux, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, the UK and Ireland. 

Harald Eisenaecher, senior vice president EMEA of Sabre Travel Network, said: “Stephane brings vital knowledge and expertise in leading software and solutions sales, and will give us the dedicated focus we need to accelerate our growth.

“Stephane has been very successful in generating profitable growth and his strong IT knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit make him ideal to lead the growth of our Western Europe business.”

Aita will be based at Sabre’s London office.
