Absolute Sanctuary Expands In 2010

The Moroccan inspired boutique wellness resort which specializes in Detox, Spa & Yoga Holiday programs is expanding in 2010 with the construction of a new wing. The new wing will feature a yoga studio with a 50 mat capacity & custom heating system which will also double up as a conference room & movie theater, a larger restaurant & a guest lounge area.

The Bt 10 million construction project will commence in late February and is expected to take 5 months. After which the resort will have 2 yoga studios, one solely dedicated for yoga teacher trainings & retreats, the other for the resort’s regular class schedule, a larger Love kitchen restaurant, the resort’s famous spa cuisine restaurant and a comfortable guest lounge/community area . In addition to this new wing, the resort will also add a gym to its facilities & expand its current spa area to include a dedicated foot reflexology lounge area and a larger wellness reception lobby.

Executive Director Claire Bostock- Huang says “ We have grown so much since opening our doors in April 2008, and demands for our services & treatments have not only been on the rise but we have also been getting increasing requests to host yoga events/teacher trainings so it is inevitable that we would have to expand to cater to these.” She further comments that “ With our new wing & facilities we hope to not only be able to expand our repertoire of services & wellness programs but also to host more yoga retreats, workshops and teacher training programs in the future.”

The wellness resort, part of ABSOLUTE GROUP which owns and operates ABSOLUTE YOGA STUDIOS in both Thailand and Singapore, is expanding in line with the group’s expansion plans. In 2010 the group will launch not only a new yoga studio at Crystal park in Bangkok increasing the number of studios in Thailand under its belt to 7 but will also embark on a Pilates venture with ULTIMATE PILATES TEACHING CENTER ( UPTC) to offer STOTT PILATES reformer classes in all its studios.
