Background Notes
The travel industry is one of the few industries left that still use a fax in very high volume.  This is because hotels demand that they receive hotel bookings via fax with credit card details which are used if the client does a no show.  Law requires the confidentiality of credit card details when transmitted to the hotel.  Email does not meet the security standards.  Only a fax to fax service, which is incredibly slow and an Internet to fax service using the Interfax solution which allows large operators to send tens of thousands of faxes a day via the Internet.
