High speed spa a novel new concept for Sharm

When most people consider their summer holidays, it is very likely that relaxation, rest and recuperation will be heavily on the cards. In this regard, a break of anywhere from five days to a fortnight in the warming temperatures of Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt is well worthy of mention.

Helping to make things all the more relaxing are a number of excellent spas in Sharm too, each offering up tempting luxuries and dalliances for holidaymakers to truly take in.

This extends to the food too, where taking many hours over a lunch is very much a la mode in this luxurious part of the world, which is easy to visit thanks to Coop Travel.

With the emphasis on taking your time and easing through the day though, a new concept in the spa world seems to fly in the face of all this.

The Four Seasons resort has introduced a wellness lunch menu which it promises will be served within 15 minutes. Fast food is all well and good of course, but can it really be needed, or work, in a spa setting?

The truth is that the time saved in not spending it eating lunch will allow you more time to pamper yourself or, more particularly, to be pampered.

It is all about delivering the right food in the right way too, with the Spa Speed Lunch menu comprising 12 very different and very healthy choices.

Guests at the spa can look forward to such options as mille feulle salmon, carpaccio beef and grilled spicy fruit. The flavour will be there, but there is far more to it than that, as spa director Orj Evapudan explains:

“Reaching and maintaining a healthy weight is important for overall health,

“For those in need of rest after an energetic workout, Four Seasons invites guest to indulge the sense with this new spa experience that focuses on relaxing and maintaining a healthy diet by putting specific needs first.”

The concept is all about removing the hassles of having to break away from a spa treatment to go to the restaurant. Many people have been known to instead skip the food, which is not the healthiest way to treat the body.

By delivering the food quickly and efficiently around the treatments, it is hoped the overall experience will be better.

Another way the spa is hoping to improve the service is through a new couple suite. Including treatments such as massage, bathing and scrubs, it is hoped it will particularly appeal to honeymooning couples in the Egyptian sun this year.
