Organized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt, with the support of CNN as a media partner, the conference will bring together major players from the media and tourism worlds to strengthen the working relationship between the two, particularly in challenging times.

With workshops touching on issues from crisis communications, to the way a newsroom works and the emerging role of social media, the conference promises to be highly interactive and practical. Held in the Red Sea town of Marsa Alam, Egypt, the conference has an added significance, given Egypt’s position as a leading tourism destination that has undergone extraordinary changes over the past year.
