Qatar Airways launches new flight to Uganda
Qatar Airways’ is preparing for its first flight to Uganda, which takes off for the firs time on November 2nd. The carrier was recently recognised as the Middle East’s Leading Airlines Business Class at the prestigious World Travel Awards.
Abu Dhabi seeks to tackle ocean pollution in latest initiative
Abu Dhabi has teamed up with the Volvo Ocean Race to bring its ‘Keep The Oceans Clean’ initiative to the emirate’s Corniche ‘Destination Village’ this New Year’s Eve, as part of the fortnight-long hosting of the round-the-world race. The global campaign encourages action against ocean pollution threatening sea-life, will involve a series of free community art projects which will run in the ‘Destination Village’ from December 31st – January 14th next year.

New cruise terminal built in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority has erected a new tented cruise terminal at Mina Zayed which is capable of simultaneously accommodating 1,300 passengers. The facility, on the site of the former ADTA visitor information centre, has been designed to cater for the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 cruise seasons.
