Canadian carrier WestJet has announced a seasonal non-stop service from Dublin Airport to Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia.
Hong Kong Airlines and WestJet have entered into a codeshare agreement, which sees Hong Kong Airline placing its HX marketing code on WestJet-operated flights. The two carriers are building on an existing interline agreement put in place earlier this year.
easyJet has launched Worldwide by easyJet, the first global airline connections service by a European low fares airline. Legacy airlines have traditionally offered connectivity through costly and complex interline and codeshare agreements and procedures.
WestJet will resume flying to Fort McMurray International Airport as the airport reopens for commercial operations for the first time since wildfires caused the suspension of scheduled flights on May 4, 2016.
Aeromexico and WestJet have signed a codeshare agreement. The new codeshare will give Aeromexico’s customers enhanced connecting service via Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver to more than 10 Canadian destinations.
WestJet has announced new non-stop service from London Gatwick to six Canadian cities. From spring next year, customers can enjoy flying in style on board WestJet’s fleet of Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto. At the same time passengers can travel to St. John’s on WestJet’s Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 series.
Gatwick Airport and WestJet have announced they have reached an agreement and the airline will launch flights between London and Canada next year as the low-cost long haul revolution continues. This will further open up the market between North America and London and provide cost effective access to cities in Canada for British business and leisure travellers and will allow many Canadians new opportunities to visit Britain, all with WestJet’s low fares.
Westjet’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice-President, Finance, Vito Culmone, will be stepping down from his role on May 29, 2015. Vito will be joining another Calgary-based organization in a similar capacity.
Travelport today announced WestJet has signed up for its Rich Content and Branding solution. WestJet becomes the latest airline to take advantage of Travelport’s new offering, which is a key component of its’ industry-leading merchandising platform.
