Turkish cabin crew ordered to lose weight
Turkish Airlines has given a group of flight attendants six months to slim down or face reassignment to ground positions. The employees, 13 women and 15 men, have been placed on unpaid leave until they lose weight in the first case of its kind for a European carrier.

Turkish confirms Boeing order
Turkish Airlines has signed an order with Boeing for five 777-300ER (Extended Range) airplanes valued at $1.36 billion at current list prices.

A Turkish Airlines flight has crashed into farmland just short of Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, killing nine people and injuring a further 50.The Boeing 737-800, with 128 passengers plus seven crew members on board, crashed in a field near a motorway and broke into three pieces. However worse casualties were avoided because fire did not break out.
