Travelport inks new deal with Atlasglobal Airlines
Travelport has signed a new multi-year, global full content agreement with growing Turkish carrier, Atlasglobal Airlines. Operating in the region since 2001, the carrier operates a network across three continents and flies to almost 50 destinations. The announcement comes at a time when the Turkish economy continues to demonstrate strong recovery following economic challenges earlier in the year.
Travelport signs renewal agreement with Air Astana
Travelport and Air Astana, the national carrier of Kazakhstan, have announced the signing of a new long-term, full content agreement. The agreement extends Travelport’s and Air Astana’s existing relationship and provides all Travelport-connected travel agents globally, with access to all of Air Astana’s content.
Visit Finland inks deal with Travelport
Travelport has signed a new marketing partnership with VisitFinland to promote its stopover programme targeting Asian travellers visiting Europe. Under the first stage of the agreement, VisitFinland will leverage Travelport’s digital media solutions to promote Finland a key stopover destination through an integrated digital media campaign.
IndiGo signs first distribution deal with Travelport
IndiGo and Travelport have signed a strategic partnership which will see IndiGo distribute all of its fares and ancillary products to Travelport-connected customers worldwide. This is the first time that IndiGo has struck a deal with a global GDS, and the choice of Travelport as its distribution partner reflects the value the airline sees in Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform.
Travelport signs three airlines to air merchandising platform
Travelport has signed on three additional airlines which are now live with its air merchandising technology. New partnerships include Air Tahiti Nui, a full-service carrier with an international route network of 6 destinations across the Pacific region; Fly Corporate, a Hahn Air Systems partner airline, operating flights from Brisbane to regional New South Wales; and Regional Express, Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating 1,500 weekly flights to 58 destinations in Australia.
Travelport signs major partnership with Emirates
Travelport has announced the renewal of both its global full content and IT agreements with Emirates. The strengthened partnership will see Emirates offer Travelport connected agencies in 180 countries - serving hundreds of millions of travellers around the world - continued access to all of Emirates’ fares and inventory through the Travel Commerce Platform.
Expedia expands European partnership with Travelport
The Expedia group and Travelport have today announced an expanded European partnership which sees Expedia extend its use of Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform in multiple European countries. As part of the agreement, Expedia and its brands, including its corporate arm, Egencia, will continue to use Travelport’s industry-leading Universal Application Programming Interface to access unrivalled hotel and car content and to power new services that will give their customers a greater level of information, choice and flexibility when it comes to booking online travel.
Travelport boosts UK management team
Travelport has appointed Guy Snelgar as Commercial Director to lead its UK Sales and Account Management teams. Guy reports into Paul Broughton, Managing Director for Travelport UK & Ireland.
Travelport signs with Roibek Travel in Saudi Arabia
Travelport and Roibek Travel, a pioneer of Saudi Arabia’s travel industry, have announced a new long term agreement that will see Roibek exclusively use Travelport’s technology across their 55 branches in the Kingdom. Research has revealed that Saudi Arabia has the largest travelling population in the Middle East, with the young, middle class and affluent population making four or five trips a year, mostly within the Gulf.
Travelport appoints new board member
Travelport has appointed Scott Forbes to its Board of Directors. He replaces Gregory Blank from Blackstone who has tendered his resignation to the Board following Blackstone’s share sell down in March of this year. Scott’s appointment is effective immediately.
