Tourism Malaysia is organising a series of roadshows in the Middle East to woo international tourists to Malaysia in conjunction with the country’s border reopening on 1 April 2022. This time around, the roadshow will kick off from 21 to 29 May 2022 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – the cities of Damman, Riyadh, and Jeddah.

Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector has received another boost with plans unveiled for a new Noblu complex in its Eastern Province. The project will include a five-star hotel, residential units, Nobu restaurant, pools, health centre and event venues. The announcement was made at Future Hospitality Summit 2022, currently taking place in Riyadh.

Sophos Hotels and AIMS Hospitality have announced the signing a memorandum of understanding to launch and develop the first international independent hotel management company in KSA. They have initially agreed on developing and operating several properties located in Jeddah and Makkah cities that comprise over 2,000 keys.

Marriott will debut its distinguished Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand in the eagerly-anticipated Red Sea destination. Slated to open in 2023, Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will be the brand’s first property in the Middle East to join an exclusive collection of only five Ritz-Carlton Reserves worldwide.

Future Hospitality Summit returns to Saudi Arabia, with a monumental programme that focuses on the wider Arabian region. A hybrid format is available for those who would like to access some of the conference sessions remotely.

The number of brand hotel rooms in Saudi Arabia is set to reach 69,300 by the end of 2022, representing a 15 percent year-on-year increase. The figures from Colliers come ahead of the Future Hospitality Summit taking place in Riyadh on 24-25 May.
