Sabre Holdings has appointed Larry Kellner as non-executive chairman of the board of directors. Kellner joins the Sabre board following a successful 14-year career at Continental Airlines, where he served initially as chief financial officer, then president, chief operating officer, and finally chairman and chief executive before retiring in 2009.

Sabre is set to provide a more personal travel experience for American Express Global Business Travel clients through TripCase, its mobile travel app. Through an agreement between the brands, travellers from American Express clients can receive real-time flight updates and live, automatic syncing of itinerary information from American Express to the TripCase app.

Sabre Travel Network has signed a multi-year agreement with Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines. The deal means more than 370,000 travel agents connected to Sabre travel marketplace in more than 130 countries will be guaranteed access to the airline’s seats and fare classes.
El Al to sell ancillaries through Sabre
Technology company Sabre Travel Network is now offering pre-paid baggage and other ancillary services from El Al. Sabre-connected travel agents worldwide can now reserve and buy pre-paid baggage, pet transfers and unaccompanied minors. Seat reservations will follow later this year.

Global travel technology company Sabre, and Expedia have expanded their global technology partnership into Asia. Sabre and Expedia established their partnership in 2005 in North America, and have since expanded into Latin America and now Asia.

Global travel technology company Sabre has signed a new, long-term, full-content agreement with United Airlines. Sabre and the airline plan to work together to make United’s material ancillary products and services, including its Economy Plus seats, available in the Sabre global distribution system (GDS).
