Yannis Karmis will lead the newly formed Global Corporate Solutions group at Sabre Travel Network, where he will oversee corporate travel solutions such as GetThere, which provides technology to corporations through its innovative online and mobile booking tools; TruTrip, which will allow business travel buyers to easily capture travel activity across booking sources; TripCase Corporate mobile app and other areas of the business that support corporate travel.

Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery where people profit from the control and exploitation of others. Approximately 800,000 victims are trafficked globally every year and they include children involved in the sex trade, adults who are coerced or deceived into commercial sex acts, and anyone forced into different forms of labor or services against their will.

American Airlines has reached an agreement with Sabre for the newly combined airline’s single reservation system. The move follows the completion of the merger of American Airlines and US Airways.

Sabre announced today that they are working with global expense booking firm Conferma, to expand its Travel Settlement Services into Latin America. The joint development will bring corporate travel buyers an automated online form of payment for hotel services merchandised in the Sabre travel marketplace. The settlement solution had previously been rolled out in the United Kingdom and the U.S. with immediate adoption.
