To mark the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989, the Hotel de Rome, a Rocco Forte hotel in Berlin, will be hosting an extraordinary photo exhibition. Starting on October 8, 2024, the renowned photographer Daniel Biskup will present 45 of his striking works, including some previously unpublished photographs documenting the emotional period of the fall of the Berlin Wall and Germany’s reunification. Iconic images, such as the first joint New Year’s Eve at the Brandenburg Gate or an encounter with Udo Lindenberg at the newly reopened Potsdamer Platz border crossing. Through this exhibition, Biskup encapsulates the emotions, relief, and joy of the people in the days following the fall of the Wall.

From donning a Bavarian Dirndl to drinking Bavarian beer, Rocco Forte Hotels’ The Charles Hotel in Munich, has put together a bespoke program to help guests feel like a true Bavarian. Available to 15 September,  the experience includes a visit to the Hofbräuhaus, a 400 year old beer drinking institution, and shopping at the Munich Manufactory, guided by a resident expert.

This 2024 season, Masseria Torre Maizza, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Puglia, will host Italy’s leading cultural, musical and artistic figures for an exclusive calendar of events, in the name of sustainability. Proceeds will go to “Save The Olives,” a charity founded by award-winning actress and philanthropist Helen Mirren.

Rocco Forte Hotels (the group) is pleased to announce that the Public Investment Fund (PIF) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a significant minority stake in the group. The Forte family will retain majority ownership and control. The arrangement sees the Italian entity CDPE Investimenti (CDPEI) selling its entire stake.
