Following the launch of a limited-number of women-only tours in the Middle East this year, leading experiential travel company Intrepid Travel has revealed that it will expand the number of departures following significant customer interest and bookings.
Intrepid Group has announced the addition of two new senior executive roles on its global leadership team. Effective from January, Michael Edwards will move into the role of chief growth officer, while Leigh Barnes will formally move into the newly created role of chief purpose officer on July 1st.
The Intrepid Group has opened its first office in Japan to meet a growing demand from increasingly adventurous travellers visiting the country. Inbound tourism to Japan has been growing rapidly, up 16.9 per cent, and the country is expecting to see a further increase in travellers in the lead up to the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.
