Etihad Airways strengthens relationship with Tourism Australia
Tourism Australia and Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, have deepened their strategic marketing partnership with a significant increase in joint funding for the promotion of tourism to Australia in overseas markets. Under the new arrangements, Tourism Australia and Etihad Airways will quadruple their spend in the 2014/15 season for what will become their strongest ever push to promote Australia to international leisure and business travellers.

Alitalia and Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, have unveiled two aircraft in a unique Expo Milano 2015 livery to mark their co-sponsorship of the global event. Expo 2015 will be held in Milan from May 1st 2015 to October 31st 2015 with an estimated 20 million visitors expected to attend the event of which more than a third will travel to the northern Italian city by air.
Etihad Airways brings Vienna into fold with new codeshare deal
Etihad Airways will provide a new air bridge between Abu Dhabi and Vienna, when it places its EY code on the forthcoming daily service by the Austrian carrier, and subsidiary of airberlin, NIKI. The new NIKI flights start on Monday November 24th and will be operated by a two cabin A320 aircraft, configured to carry 12 passengers in Business Class and 132 in Economy class.

Etihad Airways has unveiled Etihad Airways Partners, a new brand which brings together like-minded airlines to offer customers more choice through improved networks and schedules and enhanced frequent flyer benefits. Initially, five other will participate in the new partnership - airberlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, India’s Jet Airways, and Darwin Airline – all of which have equity relationships with Etihad.

Etihad Airways completes Boeing 777 wi-fi roll out
Etihad Airways today reached a major milestone with the deployment of mobile and internet connectivity across its entire fleet of 24 Boeing 777 passenger aircraft, making it easier for guests to stay in touch with friends, family and work while in the air. Created by leading brand consultants Landor Associates in partnership with Etihad Airways, the new livery is inspired by traditional Emirati design patterns, the landscapes of the desert and the geometric shapes found in the modern architecture of Abu Dhabi. The design pattern is also a key feature of the new cabin interiors being introduced on Etihad Airways’ Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 aircraft, and is being rolled out across the airline’s corporate branding – from advertising to brochures to premium lounges.

Boeing has rolled out of its paint hangar the first 787-9 Dreamliner that will be delivered to Etihad Airways. The airplane is painted in the airline’s new ‘Facets of Abu Dhabi’ livery with colours reminiscent of the desert landscape, inspired by the culture, Islamic design and architecture motifs of the United Arab Emirates.

Etihad Airways sets out expansion plans for 2015
Etihad Airways will expand its global route network with the addition of Baku, Tbilisi and Dar es Salaam in the second half of 2015, increasing the total number of new destinations it has announced for next year to nine. The fast-growing Caucasus region will be a major focus area for the airline next year, with a new service to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, being operated four times a week from October 1st, while Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, will be served three times a week from October 2nd.
